The Heart of Aiken's Winter Equestrian Season
Valentine’s Week marks the heart of Aiken’s winter Equestrian Season. The “legacy” continues attracting equestrians from around the country to participate in a number of equestrian disiplines.
Whiskey Road’s Fox Hunt Week is in full swing offering a variety of hunts and dinners, concluding

Aiken continues to be a gathering place for Eventers offering a number of schooling, training and competition opportunities that are endless. The professional riders are able to expose their upper level horses to high class venues.
Amateurs and professionals enjoy the ambiance of the long established venues that have made the eventing community what it is today. Paradise Farm’s 110 acres offers a challenging x-country course respected by all levels. Their popular recognized event takes place this week-end, Feb 16-18.
Sporting Days Farm is the home of the oldest ongoing horse trials in Aiken, with their upcoming event March 2, 2019.
Full Gallop Farm, Appletree South and the Vista and Highfields offer a variety of schooling opportunities as well.
What's new in aiken?
Stable View is a preeminent international equestrian training facility located in Aiken, SC that hosts a variety of both schooling and recognized events throughout the year. The facilities boast two cross-country courses, three outdoor arenas, a covered arena, 5 barns, 100 temporary stalls, and grass dressage area, in addition to apartments available for rent. The new Stable View Pavilion is a state-of-the-art LEED Gold Certified building and will serve as the central point of the venue, and is available to rent. Olympian Boyd Martin and his bride Sylva (Grand Prix Dressage rider and trainer) base here during the winter months.
The Aiken Horse Park Foundation is pleased to introduce Aiken’s invitational $50,000 Eventing Showcase, to be held at Bruce’s Field March 2 and 3rd. Grand-Prix Eventing is a spectator friendly two-day competition, featuring a morning of Dressage, an evening of Stadium Jumping, and an afternoon of running Cross Country. This equestrian triathlon presents a prime opportunity for top eventing riders to kick start their competition season, and to welcome the public to an exciting fast-paced equestrian event.
